Look at us. We're blogging.
Ok so my performance in class is good. Outside of class I stay fit. But my blog is what I'm missing. Unlike last year, I don't post as often before because of extra curricular activities (Junior Hip Hop). In class I show up in gym strip ready to go and I go all in, but not as much as before so if I'm good at something, I tone it down so the younger grades can have some fun. We are the oldest class in the block anyways, might as well make it fun for the younger students. During choice, I really enjoy playing Handball, Capture the Flag, and I try to expand back to Basketball. During fitness, I find myself slipping a bit in terms of effort. Like during the pyramid, I wasn't running to the center and back, more like a jog back and forth. But I was sweating and my face was red after because the actual activities were tiring like the Burpees. I hate the Burpees. In terms of participation, I deserve a 23%.
My social responsibility and contribution is probably my best spot because I don't tend to stir trouble during gym and I really encourage others when they play. You can ask many people in the class. And there was that one time I switched teams willingly when no one else wanted to. And when I was asked to accompany Nolan during Pickleball, I actually had a lot of fun, he was a really good pickleballer too, I'll admit it, he got more points then I did. Leadership in class is one thing that's really important to me because the leadership skills I acquire at gym class, I also use outside of class with my two little brothers. I feel like this aspect is natural to me because at home I'm a leader and I do it well. I keep others feeling good about their capabilities and I also tell them useful tips like, "Make the pass a little softer next time" or "swing your arm more." The best leaders in our class are probably the Grade 10's because we've done this before and we know what we're doing. On this category I deserve a 24% I left the 1% off because there were instances where I was put into doing it and it not being an independent decision.
My healthy living outside of gym class is really good too now that I made Jr Hip Hop this year. Every Monday and Wednesday excluding this week and last week, we have practice and at the end of practice we either end with doing the whole routine in a performance level (Going full out), going over routine in squads, or the feared freestyle circle, which I excel in apparently because to me, freestyle dance is second nature. I do it all the time. Even in gym class, like when someone blasts music through the speakers and I'm on the sidelines, I'm probably dancing with Miguel and Earl :) Dance practice is actually pretty tiring to be honest. I usually take a nap after practice. Another thing I do outside of school is basketball with either my friends Jagger, RR, Cajun, Michael, Marc, Kenzie and anyone else who wants to play, or at home with my little brothers as I train my little brother Miguel for his basketball debut next year at Woodward Hill. In this category I deserve a 23% because I don't really post evidence of this. Which brings me to my next category.
My digital portfolio is not as good as last year but I'm striving to make it better. Since today is sunny, I might play basketball with my brothers today. I'll try to get a video up. But yeah back to the post, I really need to step up my posts on my blog, I haven't been consistent and my evidence is evidently not there. See what I did there? Ok yeah so because of events like Jr. Hip Hop, and family things like the recent passing a of a few family members, I haven't been that focused towards my blog. I don't have much to say about it because it's not on point but, I'd give myself a 12%. But I hope to step it up.
This class is a great class and everyone seems to bring a positive energy towards us. In total I give myself a 82% doing the math, but I'll make that at least 90% by the end of the year. I will.
Pretty much nailed it. :) Make it happen bud. You're awesome to have in class… now build a demonstration of healthy living, eating, and your learning. PS Dance is a great workout. If you love dance you don't need to fake a "workout" at the Y.. just work hard at dance practice. :)
